I got it in and got it done!I’m starting week 3 with a twist. I said in my other posts I wanted to lose weight but not change my diet, well things are finna change. The first 2 weeks on FBSweat I lost around 4 lbs and can see the difference, without any diet changes, which is good! These last 2 weeks I’m going for great! So I will be watching what I eat and counting calories for the next 2 weeks to see if I can achieve better results.

Last night I didn’t get much sleep.Between one of my kids waking up scared from the thunderstorm, weather alerts going crazy on my phone, and a stalled out car reving it’s engine over and over at 4 am, I must have gotten like 4 hours combined sleep. I’m tired, coffee isnt helping, and this phlegm that I should be coughing and spitting up is sitting on my stomach causing me to be nauseous. Thank goodness today was recovery day on my #fbsweat program. After I finished though I did a short HIIT workout I missed for extra credit yesterday. I was suffering but I got it done folks.
Mmmmmm. There is lots I would tell my teenage self. Advice such as, keep your credit good, stay in college because there is no better time to tackle it than as a young adult, and most of all…LEARN HOW TO CONTROL YOUR EMOTIONS.
This is an important one for me. I have a short temper and tend to over react. Multiply my attitude today by 10, and you get me as a teen. I know my parents struggled with me as a teen 1st, because my parents never let me forget the terror I put them through, and constantly remind me how my own kids are going to give it back to me times 20. It’s all funny now but it was no laughing matter then. lol. 2nd I know I wasn’t easy to deal with because, I witnessed it, I know my attitude was shit! I couldn’t control it though, I couldn’t get a handle on it no matter how much I tried to tell myself to get it together. I still struggle with it today, but with techniques I taught myself through research, I am able to handle myself better.
Not being able to control my emotions and anger, affected my relationship with my parents and siblings, ans even with my husband (we met young) we struggled (not just because of my attitude and anger, but that def contributed to our problems), and I battled with myself daily trying to forget whatever it was I was angry, sad, hurt about instead of just dealing with it and finding ways to fix it.
Negativity, anger, hurt, jealousy, and being insecure are all hard emotions and feelings to overcome, especially as a young adult. If only I could have taught my teenage self…
Love love love that I found this video from gserpent’s blog. Watch it, study it, let’s talk about it in the comments if you would like.
